Find black bow tie bargains online
I have to go to this dinner with the theme of "semi-formal"
I'm a female, and I have no idea what to wear. It's pretty cold up at where the dinner is taking place so I don't really want to wear dresses or skirts with heels. I was thinking maybe a fancy-ish top and some dark-wash jeans but I hear jeans aren't allowed at semi-formals.

I have skinny jeans, a hot black tub top short dress the bottom half is ruffled, a hot pink and black belt, a black and grey vest, a black bow tie, and one of those pimp hats. is that emo or is that punk/rock? (dont exactly know what it is) or maybe i should be something else...
My date's dress is black on the bottom and white on the top. I was half tempted to try a white tux with a black vest and black bow tie to try and match.
I have no fashion sense whatsoever though, and I'm a little worried that the white tux may be tacky with her dress. What do you think? Do-able or do I need to go with a black tux?
