And is there anything I can wear with it to NOT look dorky?
i have a winterball coming up soon. id like to wear a tuxedo, but i dont have one. i know its going to cost alot, but where can i buy one that sells it for really low price? would there be tuxedos this time of the year that would be on sale or anything like that? what store and where? i live in oakland california in the bay area. also, i hear about tuxedo rentals, how much would it cost for a night? and can you wear a tie with a tuxedo? i know how people would wear bow ties instead. but if i cant get a tuxedo, is it okay for me to wear a suit to the high school winter ball? its all black. would people care?
o i have a dress, with a white bow at the top and the rest is black, i bought red shoes and a red clutch already and i'm planning on wearing a gold necklace with a little red in it.
A) do you think the red clutch would be too much? my boyfriend will also be wearing a red tie
B)does gold match with the outfit?
i am going to a wedding this saturday (dec. 6). it is an evening wedding. i just bought a long sleeve black dress-a nice heavy polyester fabric that i thought would be great for the cold weather. it has a little bit of a deep cut neck line and then it bunches right under the bust and flows down nicely. it's just below the knee length. the shoes i got are closed pointy, slightly square toe, with a very small heal and straps in the back. it's that black and white pattern that i've seen called plaid but i call it pinwheel. accessories will be a simple black bag with bow on it and my fendi pearls (off white-ish) which is long but i will double it. no bracelets/earrings. i have short hair which will i will just flat iron straight.
so what do you think...is this "formal" enough? the invite didn't specify but i know it's not casual, and since they didn't specify black tie i would assume it would just be formal? better to be over dressed than under. is long sleeves ok???
thanks
found the dress online.....

that's ridiculous that BLACK is not for a wedding?? and the ONLY white is in the shoes in the very small pattern that is very popular and known....of course you don't wear white as a predominant color, but i think in my case it's not looked at as white as much as it is a pattern...?? and why the hell would i freeze my ass off just because the brides and bridesmaids are?? yea...that makes sense.
and the pattern is called houndstooth.
Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! Justin Bieber rocked a look we're loving at the London premiere of Never Say Never -- the full fashion 411 and more coming up now! I'm Joslyn Davis in Hollywood and you're watching ClevverTV. Justin Bieber has taken his 3D movie overseas, where audiences and fans in the UK are equally as excited as fans here stateside to get a look at J's flick Never Say Never. Justin hit yet another purple carpet in a look that we are giving two thumbs up. In comparison with his dressier look at the LA premiere, the London outfit is far more casual, but just appropriate. Justin wore a white button down with his new favorite accessory -- a bow tie, and our favorite piece here is by far the amazing velvet vest. Something else we couldn't help but notice was Justin's slightly altered hair-style. We love this feathered, tousled look in the front of his normally sleek hair. What about you guys? If you had to pick between this look and his dressier appearance at the LA premiere, which would you pick for top ranking. Let us know here, and head over to facebook.com/clevverTV for giveaways and exclusives you'll only find there. I'm Joslyn Davis at the studio, thanks for watching!
My wedding is this weekend and I'm trying to remember how the saleslady tied the sash on my dress. I would bring it back in for a demonstration, but the store is too far away so if anyone knows how to tie an asian bow, the help would be much appreciated!!
