Find black bow tie bargains online
My date is wearing a light lavender dress, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with my color scheme. I have a black suit that makes me look sharp, but I can rent a tux. If I should get a tux, what color. I'll wear a bow tie if I choose the tux because people say it's formal, but I've heard that people think that bow ties look dumb nowadays. Should I wear a neck tie or a bow tie, and what accessories should I wear with it? (cummerbund, vest, etc)
What color shirt as well?
I'M A GIRL IF ANYONE IS CURIOUS.
I found a top hat at party stop and a few bow ties in the macy's mens section, i figure if I get a black bow tie, the black top hat, a black cardigan, red peacoat or something related to that, a white collar blouse, and black jeans or pants it might work.
Any other ideas for ways I can scrap this outfit up?

Oh yea! Another question is, I found some odd colored bow ties in the macy's men section and they were pink and kinda girly like, also some girl was going through them and she looked average for a girl. What's up with that? Girls are wearing bow ties too now?
My dress is vintage - it's ivory satin with a lot of golden hues. The bridesmaids are wearing a warm medium-blue silk. The guys are in black tuxes with tails and blue bow ties. We're going for a vintage 'feel' and aren't afraid to get creative, but we don't want to be hokey. I think the girls will cary off-white roses, but I'm stumped as to what I should carry. What do you think?

Its a magnet school, we are only allowed to wear certain colored collared shirts, and blue, gray, Black, khaki(etc.) jeans. Well, recently I found a new trade mark, Im gonna start. Wearing bow ties, on my head, and I was wondering if that's against my dress code, and I don't have any way of contacting my school right now, so please help:)
